The Sad Reality of Being an Introvert
Today is Australia Day, which for most of the Australian population means big get-togethers, BBQ’s, drinking and socialising.
Personally, I do love a chance to catch up with friends for a BBQ and a few drinks, but, as an introvert, I do prefer smaller, more intimate celebrations.
Which is why I’m torn today.
A very good friend has invited me to her home for an Australia Day Celebration.
Now, I there will be a couple of people that I know attending (former work mates, who I love dearly) but, I won’t know the majority of others.
It’s always a dilemma for us introverts.
Any time I’m invited to a celebration of sorts, the first thing I do is plan my exit strategy.
Sad but true!
I am that person, who if things are getting even the slightest bit uncomfortable, I need to know the easiest way out.
