The Day We Realised We Lived Across From A Drug House
When I was working nightshift in my previous job, I moved in with my Aunt in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. I was looking to save some pennies before heading overseas for a milestone birthday.
There was a house across from us that I’d noticed a number of things that seemed out of sorts.
1. The lawns were always overgrown
Now, I’m not one to judge when a family don’t have time to mow their lawn, but this house was well out of place compared to the rest of the neighbourhood.
2. There were numerous strange cars parked in the driveway
Again, not really an issue, except that it was a different car each and every day. Sometimes a couple of different cars.
3. The mailbox never got cleared
Now, if you actually live in your home, you would check your mail every day, wouldn’t you? Why would you allow the mail to build up? In the case of this house, the excess mail was strewn all over the lawn. It was a mess.
