Are you wondering whether creating Idea Pins for Pinterest is worth the time and effort?

What Is An Idea Pin?

Pinterest Idea Pins (once called Story Pins) are multi-page Pins. You need to have a Pinterest business account, to create inspiring Idea Pins. They are used to build more engagement directly on Pinterest.

You can tell an Idea Pin from a regular Pin by the number in the top left corner of the Pin. This number tells you how many pages the Idea Pin consists of. When you click on an Idea Pin, it will play automatically and scroll through each of the pages.

In the image below you will see that each of these Idea Pins consist of 8 pages (circled on each Pin).

Unlike Instagram Stories, Idea Pins don’t disappear after 24 hours, they will always remain on the platform.
