A couple of days ago I was made aware of a trending hashtag on Twitter, #SaveAustralia. I don’t spend a lot of time on Twitter, so I had to investigate.
Hundreds of people were rallying in New York City to “Save Australia”.
Honestly, I’m not sure what it is we need to be saved from.
Sure, Covid sucks, parts of Australia are still in lockdown, but we are not nearly in as dire straights as NYC.
Statistics state that the entire country of Australia has 1,378 Covid deaths compared to 55,150 in the State of New York
