Please Stop With The Mass Mentions On Medium Stories
I don’t know about you but the amount of mass “mentions” happening here on Medium is pathetic.

What Are Mass Mentions?
Mass mentions are when a writer “tags” or “mentions” a load of people at the end of their story. They are also known as “shout-outs”.
Why Is This So Annoying?
Every time someone mentions us in their story, we get an alert. So, what do we do? We click on the story and read to where we are “mentioned”. Most reasonable people will mention another writer when they are giving them a shout-out to one of their stories.
But lately, writers are being mentioned at the end of a story, just to get their attention. And I’m not talking 5 or 6 mentions, I’m talking 30, 40, 50 even! I’m finding certain writers are mentioning me in ALL of their stories!
