My One And Only Flight Upgrade
Many years ago when I was still travelling the world while working on cruise ships, I was lucky enough to enjoy my one and only upgrade on an international flight.
I’d just finished an 8 month contract when I was still working on cruise ships and disembarked in Denmark. I decide to spend a couple of nights in Copenhagen before boarding a flight to London.
This was my first solo backpacking trip. I was heading for Scotland, so I was super excited.
The majority of my luggage was placed in storage in Copenhagen, as I knew I would be returning for my flight home to Australia. The joy of working on cruise ships meant my flight home was fully paid for by my employer, so I was happy to fly back to Denmark at a later date.
Rocking up to the airport for my flight to London, I was asked if I’d like an upgrade. I was a little suspicious. I asked if I needed to pay any extra. The answer was no!
So, of course, I agreed.
