As of October 2021, Instagram has updated its platform and is now allowing users to post directly from their desktops.

Halleluja!

It’s been a long time coming.

I know that Instagram is primarily a smartphone photo-sharing app, but there are those of us who prefer to do our thing from a desktop.

Maybe it’s because many of us have fat thumbs or poor eyesight. But posting from a desktop is a game-changer for sure.

Why Is This Such Big News?

Consider this.

What if you take the majority of your pics on your camera? You know, that thing that has interchangeable lenses? And what if you edit your pics on your desktop?

Having to transfer those pics to your phone before uploading them to Instagram is such a pain.

And then (with those fat thumbs of yours) you need to type in your caption, search for hashtags and all the rest.

Being able to do all this via Desktop has just made everyone's life easier!
