Driving Anywhere Is A Luxury Many Of Us Can No Longer Afford
You don’t realise how convenient it is to own a car until you can’t drive it anymore.
Sadly, this is becoming a reality for so many people. The price of fuel has risen at a crazy rate all around the world.
Here in Australia, we are looking at over $2.18 per litre. That’s nuts!
PS. For those who use gallons instead of litres = 1 litre is the equivalent of 0.264 gallons.
In less than a week, fuel prices in my area have increased by (grabs calculator) 23%.
Currently, unleaded fuel is 218.3 (per litre). Two weeks ago it was priced at 177.2. That’s an increase of (grabs calculator again) 41.1 per litre.
The average tank size tank of a car is between 45 and 65 litres. SUVs and trucks have even larger tanks. I’m no mathematician but my calculator tells me that filling a 45-litre tank at 218.3 will cost upwards of $98.
Reports say that fuel could increase to as much as $2.50 per litre.
