A question that I’m often asked by clients and on social media is “Do I need to be on every platform?” or “How many platforms should I be posting on?”

This is definitely a tricky question…

Consider where your ideal client likes to hang out

Your idea client might prefer to watch videos, or they might even prefer to listen to a podcast. Considering the consuming style of your followers is very important.

What platforms you enjoy posting on

If you hate being on camera, then you don’t HAVE to post reels or Youtube videos. If you prefer to write, then blogging is the place to be, along with writing a newsletter and writing Tweets or Threads.

Conquer just one platform

Start with one platform to get your feet wet and to build your following. Once you have a good audience, you can expand to a second platform.

What is a platform isn’t working for you?

You might find that posting to a particular platform gives you… crickets. You’re not growing…
